The brief
Highways Industry runs drone survey and inspection services for the UK highways and infrastructure sector. They needed their WordPress site migrated and cleaned up, a project where the risk is not the build but the cutover: moving a live site without breaking URLs, email, or search visibility.
What we did
- Migrated the WordPress site to its new environment with no service interruption.
- Cleaned up accumulated theme, plugin, and content cruft from the previous setup.
- Verified URL, redirect, and email continuity through the cutover.
- Handed back a tidy, maintainable WordPress install with clear documentation.
How we built it
Migrations live or die on the cutover plan. We staged the site in the target environment, validated it against the live version page by page, then cut over with DNS and a verified redirect map so no existing URL 404'd. The clean-up pass stripped unused plugins and orphaned content that had built up over the site's life, reducing the maintenance surface area without changing what visitors see.
Migration projects are judged entirely on what doesn't happen, no downtime, no lost rankings, no broken inbound links. The verified redirect map is the part that protects search equity through the move.

The result
The migration and clean-up were executed without disruption, and communication was kept tight throughout the process, the client's own summary of the engagement.
